  2. New Version (3.0) of Movie.app on the Archive
  3.  
  4. Movie.app permits the playback of a variety of animation sequence
  5. file formats. The older, somewhat limited Movie.app was combined
  6. with the extensive decoding facilities of Mark Podlipec's Xanim
  7. display software for X-windows. Formats tested are the good old
  8. ".anim" tiff-collection, MPEG format and Quicktime movies with
  9. one (I forget which) compression scheme. Many others should just
  10. work, since I did not mess with the Xanim codec code at all. Thanks
